Below are six of the most important friends in my life. I don't know what I would do without these girls! Watch for them as they stand beside me on August 31st :)
Maid of Honor:
Katie Kessen
Katie Kessen is my best friend and second half :) She is always up for a road trip, concert or spontaneous adventure! We have been a large support system for each other since we’ve been living away from home and learning what it is that we want to do with our lives. She embraces my love of tutus, microphones and chocolate and is someone who will always answer my phone calls when I need her to laugh or cry with. I love her absolute confidence, brutal honesty and that when she says “we” I know she means Ryan, her and I. She is the Godmother of my puppy, Riley, and currently resides in Belmont, North Carolina. (She is also the best live-tweeting, celebrity-stalking person that I know!)
Bridesmaids:
Claire Plymale
Claire is my younger cousin and one of the most creative, courageous and competitive people that I know. She is constantly trying out for extracurricular activities and broadening her artistic ability. There isn’t a board game we haven’t battled out the championship title for, or a music video we haven’t talked Grandma into recreating with us :) No matter how old Claire gets she will always be “Claire Bear” in my book (sorry dear)! In the fall of 2013 she will be a freshman at La Cueva High School – go bears!
Elycia Lovato
Elycia “Lyci” is my younger cousin and will always be like a niece to me. She is athletic, determined, spirited and has a passion for life that I admire. She is a basketball rock star, golfer, volleyball player and modeling student. We love to watch movies, have photo shoots and decorate cookies together! I wish I could be home to see her more, but I know that I can always count on her to wake me up on Christmas mornings far before the sun comes up! In the fall of 2013 she will be in eighth grade at Our Lady of Assumption.
Emma Winn
Emma is my soon-to-be cousin and newest amazing friend! We first met Easter weekend 2012 and clicked right away. She immediately made me feel like a part of the family, and we’ve shared many laughs since then! We have a common love of The Bachelor and I can always count on her to “like” all of my pictures and respond to my tweets! :) In the fall of 2013, Emma will be a junior at Michigan State University.
Courtney Malherbe
Courtney and I met our freshman year of high school and have been friends ever since our first soccer practice. Our friendship has spanned the awkward and challenging high school years - I thought Algebra would be the death of us! We conquered the independent and demanding years after as she married her wonderful husband Tim while I was navigating my first years in college. And now, she’s still just a phone call away as we both start new chapters in our lives. She’s the mother of two wonderful boys and resides in San Antonio, Texas.
Megan Nagle
Megan and I met our freshman year of college, and by our senior year had become close friends and apartment neighbors. She is one of the most dedicated people I know, and will work harder than anyone to achieve a goal. Megan and I share a love of adrenaline sports and push each other to our limits. She was right beside me as we jumped out of an airplane and was next to me as we crossed the finish line of our first half-marathon race. I know I can always count on her to take me outside of my comfort zone and help me cross adventures off of my bucket list. She currently is working for FOX Sports and resides in Beverly Hills, California.
