On: Exploring The Tar Heel State

My goal is to see the world, but that also means exploring places close to home. I'm lucky to live in such a gorgeous state filled with natural beauty and unique treasures. This past weekend Amanda and I declared it "Take-Your-Wife-To-Work Weekend" and we followed Ryan and Steven to Bristol, Tenn. with a stopover in Asheville, N.C. to explore! 

Asheville was a wonderful city with amazing food, nightlife and chocolate! 

Next up was the NASCAR portion of our weekend in Tennessee!

Post-race we traveled back to the Carolinas and hiked to the top of Chimney Rock, and ended our excursion with a hike to Hickory Nut Waterfall, as featured in The Last of the Mohicans. Chimney Rock State Park was gorgeous, as was the entire Lake Lure area. We definitely live in an amazing state!
