WEDDING: Ryan was asked to be a groomsman in his friend Blake's wedding. This was fun for me to see "Chicago Ryan" in action. His friends were all so welcoming, and I had a great time with Nicole and Lisa. There may have even been some wedding crashing of our own - be jealous Katie Kessen, you should have been there :)
HOUSEWARMING: We were able to have a small housewarming party with Katie, Megan and all of our MWR friends. I'm calling this our "grown-up group". I made all of the food off of Pinterest and even put together cute mason-jar, thank-you favors for everyone as they left. I'm thankful we have our grown-up group to visit with, but the highlight was probably Nerf gun wars with Drew and Karin's kiddos!

NINJA TURTLE NIGHT: If you're friends with me - good friends with me - then you know my absolute favorite thing for a night out is to rock my ninja turtle costume! I love everything about it, especially my turtle shell! I was a little bummed that I was sick on Halloween weekend and couldn't attend any of the parties in uptown. So when Katie Kessen asked if I was going to the Brickhouse Tavern for actual Halloween night, needless to say, I was pumped! It was a fun, laid-back night with new friends and old friends. I think Ryan even came out of his shell a bit - no pun intended ;)

BABY SHOWER DAY: November 3rd was Kristen Gamble's Charlotte Shower. Amanda, Alicia and I prepared food, decorated my house, and made favors - it was a hit! Everyone seemed to have a great time, and the food was delish - especially the cupcakes, props to Alicia! I'm so excited for Kristen to have a little guy of her own. I know she'll be a great mom and I'm pumped to spoil the little man!
OUTLAWS: (No Mom, not the cowboys, the race cars!) Katie and I went to the WOO after K-Gamble's baby shower and had a great time in the dirt! Our new friend Jessie Morrison came to sit with us and I saw Bradley and his girlfriend also. It was so fun! I always love adventures with Katie!

ELECTION DAY: Ryan is completely enthralled by weather and politics. During election day we watched all seven hours of coverage as our "date night". This election was a bit more fun though, because we did get to go to the Democratic National Convention events, and I even saw President Clinton (literally 5 feet away from him)! It was a neat experience.

SCUBA CERTIFIED: Scuba Ryan is all set for our trip to the Bahamas as he just completed his PADI Open Water Diver certification November 7th in the Lake Norman Quarry. That only took seven months ;) So proud of him!

BEST BOYFRIEND EVER: This year I was completely obsessed by the Olympics. So, when the Fab Five (USA Women's Gymnastics Team) came to perform in Charlotte I was pumped. I even purchased tickets four months in advance. Unfortunately, the day of the event came and I was so sick! However, Ry was still a trooper and let me sleep all day on one of his only Fridays off of the year so I could still see them. Then, when we arrived it looked like a Justin Bieber concert with all of the screaming nine year old girls. Did I mention Ryan earned major brownie points? In the end, it was so fun and I'm so glad I have a fantastic boyfriend!
